Week 26: 🕌 Eid Mubarak from Our Hearts to Yours

As the crescent moon marks the end of Ramadan, we wish you and your loved ones a joyous and peaceful Eid. Here in Canada, we are blessed to celebrate in safety and comfort — something we never take for granted. But while we gather with family and friends, we remember those around the world who are enduring unimaginable hardship this Eid. From Sudan to Burma to Palestine and beyond, many of our brothers and sisters are facing war, displacement, and injustice.

🗳️ Canada’s Upcoming Election:
Why It Matters More Than Ever

With the federal elections approaching on April 28th, we have a critical opportunity to make our voices heard. Our leaders need to know that if they want our votes, they must show real commitment to global justice. It’s not enough to offer words of sympathy — we demand policies that reflect compassion, accountability, and a firm stand against oppression.

• Over 3,000 people showed up at the last Al Quds protest in Toronto

• Last year there were over 100,000 people gathered in Ottawa

Whether it’s calling for an arms embargo on Israel, supporting displaced people in Sudan, or standing up for human rights in Burma — this election is our chance to push for meaningful change. Let’s hold our leaders accountable.

📣 Take Action Before Election Day

There are many ways to get involved before April 28th:

• Join weekly protests happening every weekend in your city. Follow Instagram pages like @Toronto4Palestine, @Mississauga4Palestine, @Hamilton4Palestine and others to stay updated on rallies and events near you.

• Send a letter to your MP using VotePalestine.ca. Just enter your postal code and it will automatically send an email to all your local representatives demanding a stance in favour of a Pro-Palestinian policy and an arms embargo on Israel. Let them know your vote depends on their response.

It’s made so simple, make sure you pledge and have at least 3 others to pledge. Together, we can make our voices impossible to ignore.
